Discussion: We Are In An Actual Horror Renaissance Right Now In The 2020s

πŸ©·πŸ’œπŸ–€ I think horror in today's day and age is genuinely at an all time PEAK! We've had SO many great horror movies that have come out that have shaped the new generation. No matter what you think of these movies, you cannot deny their impact on online culture! You genuinely cannot, most of these movies have created so much online discussion, memes, references, and talking points! They've actively brought back Theater Popularity that we thought was dying out due to Covid!Β

πŸ©·πŸ’œπŸ–€ Like just in the past 6 years, we've had some of my favorite horror movies come to light and I'm so soooo happy πŸ₯ΉΒ

πŸ©·πŸ’œπŸ–€Β Movie List:Β We've had The Invisible Man, When Evil Lurks, The Black Phone 1 & 2, Barbarian, Terrifier's 2 & 3, Maliginant, Smile's 1 & 2, past 2 Fnaf movies (Okay maybe that's debatable), X & Pearl, Talk To Me, I Saw The Tv Glow, The Substance, M3GAN, Bring Her Back, Scream V & VI (Fuck scream VII), Longlegs, Weapons, & now The Backrooms & Obsession, & Leviticus!!!Β

πŸ©·πŸ’œπŸ–€ Which the last 3 films mentioned are actively killing it at the box office, which while the Oscars (bleh ewww) continue to push Horror to the side endlessly + with how rampant A.I usage is, I think the success of these films are a testament to just how lucky we are to still have such amazing creativity pulsing throughout our lives!

Kudos: 1
