I really wish found-footage horror would show less rather than more.

Every time these films show the monsters, it ends up looking silly. I think they should rely less on CGI and more on practical effects like makeup, or at least try to hide low-quality CGI with a VHS filter or something. Sometimes, showing less is just better.

I also finally watched Begotten again. >)˶ᵔᵕᵔ˶(< It’s been a while since I last saw it. I still barely understand what’s happening in it, but it’s a pretty nice film.

Now I’m wondering if I should watch more mainstream horror or just spend my days rewatching the same five found-footage movies. I can still handle some extreme cinema, but I’m not really in the mood for it lately. Like, no I don’t want to watch some edgy film made by a director who’s a predator or racist. "૮₍ ˶•⤙•˶ ₎ა Unless it’s my dear Thanatomorphose, but I don’t know anything about the director, so maybe that doesn’t count.
