Holy fuck that game was awesome.
I played it on the PS3 for stable FPS. Game's fuckin cool af. So many explosions in the game, pretty sick weapon designs (especially with the shotgun where you can do a secret move if you're a smartass) and has a pretty good difficulty range.
I liked the story. It's campy and badass too. Best character is Hakka of course but General Adams is my favorite because the dude's fucking funny, and has a pretty cool hair with soul patch. (the guy in my pfp)
So fun dude omg. I really don't get the mixed reception the game gets. Game's pretty awesome.

Ive only played killzone 1 on the ps2, the gunplay was pretty bad and there was little variation in between chapters. I did like misty waters in chapter six but other than that I don’t remember it being great. I might have to try it on the ps3 though
u should. I didn't play the game on ps2 because I heard complaints of fps drops and the game being very blurry.
I didn't really care about the game being repetitive because the gunplay was fun for me.
Favorite chapter was 10 because you can climb up to the shuttle through killing the helghasts, and has a level where you can pick any powerful weapons.
The only thing I didn't like about it was Jan's gameplay. I like him as a character but in gameplay, you don't need him when other characters got something that sets each other apart, and Jan didn't have any (I didn't like how weak he is too. Dude can take small bullets and die in later chapters).
Other than that, I loved it. Game's pretty cool.
