finished rereading goodnight punpun

These past two weeks I've been rereading goodnight punpun, and I just finished it over the weekend. When I first read it a couple months back I low-key didn't get it all too much so I thought I'd reread it, and BRO. I locked in so hard and was genuinely tearing up so much over the ending </333

Honestly when I first read it I didn't like Aiko for some reason (I thought she was kinda annoying), but now my opinion on her changed, I rlly like her. 😭
As much as I love Sachi I kinda wish that Aiko and Punpun could've stayed together. I say kinda cuz I have mixed feelings abt it, it's like I feel like Punpun and Aiko rlly did want to have a future together, (tho pls correct me if I'm wrong I don't wanna misinterpret anything lol). But at the same time their relationship was very unhealthy, and I also feel like even if they were to stay together they wouldn't be truly happy, especially Aiko.
I wouldn't say the main ending is a good or bad ending, but I do feel like it might be for the best if that makes sense? Like the best ending Punpun could have, even though he feels guilt for Aiko.
I normally don't try to get into long yaps abt endings cuz I'm afraid I might sound dumb, but I do rlly love Goodnight Punpun. I liked Punpun's character a lot before the 5th volume and it's kinda the same thing for a lot of the other characters too, (like I either like or dislike them after a certain volume, or am neutral abt them). My favorite volumes are the 3rd, 4th and 7th ones.
