First Post (Geto Cosplay Story :p)

The story of my Suguru Geto cosplay from Jujutsu Kaisen is really stupid but to give proper context, this all started either late last year or early this year. Me and a friend of mine (friend A) thought it would be fun to go to a convention together and to coordinate a cosplay together but the issue is neither of us had a functional car to take us, so we thought friend B might be willing to do so. We brought it up with them and they thought it would be a fun idea, plus friend B lived near the con and they offered to let us stay with them also as long as we helped pay for the gas.

Everything sounded good and we continued trying to think of a good group cosplay. Friend A suggested we do Jujutsu Kaisen since everyone in the group at least knew something about it. At the time, I had not seen a single episode and vaguely knew what it was about, but I thought whatever, I'll just choose the one character I think looks good from the most popular yaoi to come out of it at the time: satosugu, and chose Geto as a monk bc I thought it looked cool.

I end up having the time to source the fabric, get it, and fully make the cosplay and a couple weeks go by without a hitch until friend B who was supposed to drive us and house us said that they didn't realize how much they were going to be spending this summer and bailed last second even though both me and friend A already bought our nonrefundable tickets and I had my cosplay fully made. So, one scramble to find a hotel that would allow reservations under 21 later and $300 down the drain later, I can now house myself for the con.

Anyways, it isn't even a group cosplay anymore, I'm the only one going as a jjk character so it's a good thing that I ended up liking Geto when I actually watched the show.
