friendrewind is sicker than spacehey?

first of all i think both platforms are awesome and i think we can all agree that most of us moved our bags from the retro social media nest of spacehey to come here.

personally this site seems to have similar features to spacehey but with slight improvements. i mean duh this is just another retro site that uses the same template as myspace and that spacehey is among pioneers for the modern myspace rebirth. but i think this site adds a little step to its functionality, like the search tool actually works ( i miss the totally working advanced search tool on spacehey ), the modern touch doesnt screw the original aesthetic of myspace inspiration and the design is absolutely efficient. also wow as im writing this the system keeps autosaving drafts of this blog for every word typed in or erased. i guess that was what i referred to. its like the features of old myspace have been adapted to fit the current user experience. we have definitely reached the second(third?) stage for retromod websites like this

it's just a shame because spacehey was paced much better for me than any other wise was :( but friendrewind is getting close, and it's certainly not in the state spacehey is in right now, so it's where i shall go!

i was already losing interest in spacehey before people started rage baiting and it has definitely lost me when i have to use vpn to access the site everytime. i understand about the age restriction rule going around in social medias but it seems randomly imposed on people even in areas that havent had fully implemented the rules yet. hope fdrd wouldnt fall into the same hole too

i feel like everyone here is so much more social and friendly too. and when i look at the blogs its not just people spamming about how boring and dead the site is

this website is relatively new in the public eye and there is a surge of users coming in everyday. i feel like people are just excited to try to new things :)) comparing to spacehey, it has its own fingerprints of people being toxic, rage baiting left and right and weird takes with oddly high kudos. i think the website used to also have an average, well mannered userbase. its just that with increasing users every day and the fate of non algorithmic platforms, the website could turn into something extreme. bad preferably. people can do bad things to get attention

I agree! The biggest drawback for me on Spacehey was not being able to reply to forum posts, or get notifications for anything outside of basically follow requests and DMs. Groups are also WAY better over here

right!! the systems or whatever programming that runs for spacehey feels pretty janky but id often excused it bc of its traditional social media concept like its supposed to be bad bc it was based on an old thing. but i had never knew a truly good retro site until i signed up for this website with fully functioning features. like my eyes just opened. i hope to god that nothing eventually comes down to ugliness for this site, i do hope friendrewind have good teams behind it. unlike spacehey, i assume there are only a few people who manage the site
