Game of Thrones S3 Opinions

Spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 3!!

Disclaimer: I watched this season really quickly, like in the course of a few days. Therefore, there might be some stuff that I missed or don't remember off the top of my head. Despite that, I still want to get my thoughts out there before I start season 4.

Wow! What a season! First off, when I said in my last post that I hoped Sansa would turn out okay, I was not expecting her to marry Tyrion. It definitely felt like a random match, but I guess there was some foreshadowing throughout the show previously, and out of all other characters so far, Tyrion does seem like he would treat her the best. 

Secondly, what was up with Theon's storyline??? It felt like the writers wanted to get revenge on him for taking Winterfell and just spent 99% of the season torturing him. It wasn't until the VERY last episode that I felt like it was going anywhere!

Speaking of which, there was a lot more scenes that felt like they weren't going anywhere! Maybe that's just my opinion, but there was a lot more spicy scenes in this season, and it never felt like it progressed the plot. 

Next, what was up with the whole three-eyed raven thing? I know Bran had been dreaming about the raven ever since season 1, but it felt very out of left field for him to want to go beyond the wall to find it. I felt like it wasn't very clear why he had to go up there and what it would accomplish. 

Lastly, I loved seeing Daenerys grow her army. The scene where she reveals that she speaks Valeryan and basically cooks everyone with her dragon was pretty neat, really hoping to see more of that in the next season. 

Now for some predictions! Last season, I was really hoping that the White Walkers (I finally caught the name for them lol) would have a bigger part in this season. While it was cool to see Samwell kill one of them and reveal their weakness, they didn't really appear much. Really hoping that once Bran gets beyond the wall, we see them more. 

Also, with the war over, there's more room for internal politics at King's Landing, especially with Jaime and Brienne there. There seems to already be something stirring between the small council and Joffery, and I can't wait to see if something comes out of it.
