Gaming Rant

A boring, unimportant rant that has been said 1000 times before. Modern Gaming just kinda...sucks. I know I'm biased in my opinions considering most of my favorites games are nearing 20 years old or older, but that doesn't mean I can't just ignore the obvious decline in the gaming industry. Things are sloppily made, boring, or completely unoriginal.

Perhaps you would be interested in a remake of (insert nostalgic game here), so you can continue to give us, the big company, more money? Perhaps a game that is hardly finished? Or even better, a game with no physical disk!

I'm just frustrated with the conditions of gaming currently. I want to blame Sony for a fat chunk of what's happening regarding the lack of physical games but I also know that they're not really to blame for the lack of quality put into some games. That's not to say that there wasn't always bad games because there are PLENTY of examples of bad games from some of my favorite eras of gaming. The NES had Duck Hunt (I think...it's been a really long time since I've played any NES games), which was a pain in the ass because of those god awful guns and the lack of precision. Or that one Wolfenstein game. That one that nobody talks about because it just wasn't memorable, maybe not horrible, but nothing note worthy.

Maybe I sound too pretentious, only playing older games from the "golden age" but I genuinely cannot see myself enjoying many of the games recently put out. Even some indie titles just look boring, uninspired, or just bad. This could all be blamed on Unreal Engine if you think about it.
