Idk if this is a common experience or not but I just wanted to share either way.

Okidokiloki here's my story of self-discovery ig

I AM going to do this in parts just cuz it'll be easier (and I can give myself more time to think about what I'll be writing) but they might be posted inconsistently because of that. Anyway, onto the first part.

Part 1: I thought I was a lesbian at first

When I was in 5th grade, I discovered the idea of being romantically in love with the same gender. A lot of my queer friends honestly thought they were gay before they even knew the term (and I'm sure others in the community had the same experience), but I was just like "holy mackerel that's an option?!" Then I immediately took that label and stuck with it. Sometime later, my friend recommended the series "Sailor Moon" as my starter anime and, if you're a huge nerd about it like me, you'd know where this is going. To give a spoiler free explanation, one of the most popular couples (besides the main one of course) is a lesbian couple (I even got a sticker of them hehe).
