Are Psychopaths and Sociopaths the same?

Psychopaths and Sociopaths are usually mistaken as the same thing, but they are not. 

Now first their similarity’s: both are manipulative, and both fall under the “anti social personality disorder (ASPD)” umbrella 

And now the things that set them apart: Sociopaths are close to the definition of ASPD while Psychopaths show traits that lie outside of diagnosis. Sociopaths may have a weak conscience while Psychopaths may lack a conscience all together. Sociopaths are often quickly to get angry if confronted with their behavior, while Psychopaths usually don’t “explode” under pressure.

In conclusion: no, Psychopaths and Sociopaths are not the same
