Glorbaga Snifflefart

several years ago Petco used to offer a discount on your first auto ship order. you can't do this anymore, but what I would do is make a new email, make a new account, and act like I'm a first time customer. I did this for years. I had probably made over 50 email accounts and saved quite a lot of money.

well, sometimes I would forget to cancel the autoship. on one of these occasions, I called customer support because I got charged for cat food and inevitably I didn't know the login info for whatever one of my accounts it was. some girl with an Indian accent answers the phone. so I start talking to her, she's a little shocked to see I have 50+ accounts tied to my address, but she doesn't care. I tell her I don't remember any details about my account. keep in mind, all of these accounts have totally fake names. I would always be in a hurry to make these accounts so I'd just come up with whatever dumb fake name and be done with it.

so the girl on the phone looks at the most recent order coming to my house, and she asks me directly and with the most genuine tone I have ever heard, "are you Glorbaga Snifflefart?" I had totally forgotten about that name. she pronounced the name Glorbaga exactly as I had intended it to be pronounced - glor-buh-guh. so obviously she was smart. I think that was the funniest part. it wasn't the name, it was the fact she pronounced it correctly. and I just lost it. I was laughing hysterically while she sat there on the phone awaiting my response and I couldn't even talk. my sides were hurting. complete loss of control.

it took me a solid 5 minutes to regain my composure and continue talking to her. every time I thought I was finally ready to answer her I would start laughing again. she didn't seem to find it funny at all. she didn't laugh even a little, and she didn't even question why I was laughing. it was completely one sided. and I think that made it even funnier. anyway, I got my money back.
