God i love bass clarinet

sooo my bass clarinet journey has gotten WAY further than I ever expected.

I started out on bari sax, which I absolutely hated (╥_╥). Then sophomore year I switched to bass clarinet and honestly... best decision ever.

Bass clarinet just clicked with me in a way bari never did. I fell in LOVE with the sound, the low notes, and being part of the lower voice in the ensemble. ♫⋆｡♪ ₊˚♬ ﾟ in fact during area concert festival i got so muchh glazeeee.... the judges love my tone and it made up for my helding out to long mistake... (glup) the cliniction loved how loud i was also omgggg

And now I actually made wind ensemble on bass clarinet!! 🎶♡ Like HELLO??? Past me would probably be so confused that the instrument I switched to because I hated bari would eventually become something I cared this much about and i tought i suckeeddddd buttt.

I also march bass clarinet, so apparently I've committed myself to carrying around this giant clarinet everywhere I go 💀

But honestly, I wouldn't trade it.

There's something so satisfying about sitting in an ensemble and hearing all the different parts come together. Sometimes you don't even realize how important the lower parts are until they're gone, and I LOVE being able to contribute that sound.

Bass clarinet has become such a huge part of my life, and I'm really proud of how far I've come with it. From "I hate bari" to "I made wind ensemble on bass clarinet" 

so yeah...

bass clarinet my beloved. ♡
