Got perfume and lotion in the mail!

So this blog is partly a test to try one of those layouts for posts, so we'll see how that goes. Also, I've been wanting to talk a bit about perfume and other fragrance products here so since I got some that I ordered in the mail recently, I thought I'd talk about what I got!

So as you can see, I got a couple of custom scented products from Enough Body - a scented lotion in their Coconut Citrus Sorbet scent, and a perfume I asked to be made with lemon and amber.

So first off, I'll talk about the lemon amber perfume. The label design is interesting, to start. So, since it's lemon and amber, I expected the lemon to be the more prominent scent, but I find this perfume leans a bit more towards the amber scent. Normally I wouldn't mind, but I was kinda hoping to wear it in the late summer, but I think it's just too hot to wear it, at least during the day. I might enjoy wearing it at night, tho. Also, fun fact: amber is a fantasy note, meaning you can't naturally sample the scent of amber, it's made artificially. I've heard vanilla is a fairly common note to mix with other scents to make amber. Personally to me, the amber note in this perfume smells like a mix of vanilla and incense, which is interesting. So yeah, slightly disappointed, but I like the scent some.

Then there's the lotion bar. Since it's a lotion bar, you gotta rub it some to get some of the lotion off, like you sort of melt it with your body heat, so to speak. Back to this product, the label is really cute! The notes are lemon, lime, coconut, and vanilla, and that's pretty much what you smell. It smells a little bit heavier and creamier as a lotion, but I imagine the perfume is a touch lighter. It pretty much smells like what it says, a coconut citrus sorbet! A very nice scent for when you want something that smells sweet, but isn't quite as girly as like B&BW's Strawberry Poundcake scent. Overall, I'm content with my purchase.
