Ok so I'm writing about these 2 wolf dogs and I want some kind of dramatic event to get them to the main setting of the story. Where they are originally from is pretty far and I want to give them a reason to leave their old home. At first I thought of them being hit by tranquilizer darts and transported to a pound where they are broken out by a stray dog that wanted to save his friends but they are WOLF dogs so I don't think they'd end up in a normal pound? Give me something interesting to work with.
Guys help me figure out something for a story I'm writing

I really don't know what to really give you but I'll think for a suggestion....
Let's say these two are from somewhere in Canada and they have to unfortunately leave because of a dangerous wildfire that happened there wherever they live from.
Hopefully that helps. :)
