Help

So, I recently been looking into becoming a buddhist, I started to do a little research (nothing crazy or big yet I'm planning to buy some books) but other than reading i don't really know where should I start so if anyone has any suggestions and stuff I'm happily open to listening! - also a question, I'm a baby witch, started doing witchcraft and overall wanting to become a psychic, does it clash w buddhism? I did a research on the topic and came to the conclusion it doesn't? But still wanna ask if it does, don't wanna be disrespectful towards either of those two!
