hey there, here's an about me

oh for sure!!!! i may dabble in the sequel yeah (looks away from my 814 hours and the fact im playing with a friend right now)

i just switched to it actually, so ive only taken an intro to psych class so far. still, was fun. my prof had such a way with powerpoints, he used a surprising amount of sparkle gifs for a man in his 70s or so. made it easy to remember everything haha. wbu? 

hell yeah, who do you play the most? (and favourite ancient? like this was some kinda sts personality quiz)

i wish i had profs who knew how to use powerpoint to its full potential (or even half of it), it's quite depressing to stare at watermarked slides for 2 hours every week for every course... at least the course material is interesting enough...

*also i won't be able to play for like the next 9 days as i'm abroad :/ which probably means i won't be on a lot either

I would say Silent maybeeee beats out the others a little bit but we've also just been working on A10ing everyone + we do random picks in multiplayer a lot. favorite ancient tho proooobably Orobas? love that funky little guy dearly. anyway you also gotta take the quiz wbu?

oh ew that sucks, some profs are not the greatest at presenting material in an interesting way yeah. hoping i get lucky with my next profs where im transferring to (going to a new college this fall) but i know at my last one it was super hit or miss

he's such a fun guy (well. maybe slightly less so lorewise) especially when talking to the regent (which is also my favourite.. it's not even close). thanks to his 3rd option he basically never bricks and that just feels so nice (and pgem/sea glass exist. how can you not like those)

a10ing everyone has been.. quite an impossible feat for me given i vowed never to play silent (I'M SORRY) but it's ok.. no one knows.. with a few exceptions then

and about profs i honestly just gave up at some point LOL i've just started reading the literature and papers instead, only using any lecture recordings to rehearse. good luck moving though (i think i read that right), hope everything goes smoothly! same goes for your new college; may you find the people you're looking for.. cause that definitely did NOT happen for mr

YEAH admittedly i havent been too focused on piecing together the lore yet but i do just like that funky guy. in general just love the ancient designs a lot.

no fr plus you can make so many interesting builds with the stuff he gives, i do see the appeal of the other act 2 ancients but pgem/sea glass just let you do some WILD decks

i love all the ancient designs honestly, my only nitpick being darv's lack of pools (and his ability to offer multiple energy relics.. sigh)

the other class stuff is just so FUN, especially the 5 rares from sea glass.. i mean nutritious soup and paels legion are good and all but orobas is just FUN

good to hear you're already getting out there though! for me simply finding the social events has been the hardest part which SUCKS because i seem to be the only one who actually wants to get to know more people here?? really hope that isn't the case

as for the social media thing i try them one at a time; hoping i'll stay here for a while and meet the same cool people you mentioned (that's been a success so far)

okno i love me a good roguelike or shooter, but ideally both in one game (roboquest). right now (WELL NOT RIGHT NOW) i'm trying out blue prince and it's proving to be really damn fun

i have Never heard of those games though, think i should try them out? i'd also be down to play whatever once i'm back!

my irl and i were JUST talking about darv (we play together and i mentioned the fav ancient question), he's definitely one of the biggest letdowns usually imo. most of the ancients you can just get really bad rng on but i feel like with him more often than not i dont especially want anything hes offering/its just kind of dull 

NO FR the addition of ways to make hybrid decks so easily is def one of my fav new additions from the og because it adds so many more ways to play the game that get so silly. like yeah sure whatever arsenal shiv deck silent why not (one of my personal fav runs)

thats fair LMAO, im not super in the community (like i said, barely on socials) so footwork=gg is a crazy stance to me. i find her very fun but thats my personal preference, i also just admittedly am a teensy bit biased towards her for being a badass woman with a skull on her head 

id share my secrets to getting out there however idk how old you are (im assuming adult bc you mentioned psych major? either way involves adult-only spaces basically) and its also definitely not foolproof lmao. heres hoping you can find people who are down to connect tho, it does seem increasingly difficult to make friends and meet folks irl the older you get :/ which is very sucky and isolating if you didnt make good connections in gradeschool

ooh never heard of roboquest but i do like both those genres so ill have to look into it. blueprince is on my wishlist but i havent snagged it yet (my twin said she got it for me for our bday but she screwed up and bought it for herself instead of gifting it apparently and has not corrected it for nearly half a year atp). seems super cool from what little i know!

they're all the same genre of very deduction-focused mystery game, you just get thrown in with minimal instruction and have to figure out how to solve the mysteries, puzzles, etc. type HELP is my fav of all of them, just a great mystery and i love the concept. would recommend if thats up your alley!!

i see darv as the highest variance ancient (tez used to be a strong contender as well) since his relics are either 'do something, i guess' (empty cage, choker) or 'you win right here' (pandora's box (only sometimes), runic pyramid). truly one of the ancients of all time

oh and someone's experienced the fabled arsenal shiv run.. i'm not envious at all What do you mean (i got prenerf throwing axe + the sealed throne + particle wall + letter opener. good enough i think)... on the topic of silent though she's got a badass fuckin design indeed and some of the cards are genuinely horrifying (Why Is Wraith Form A Real Card); maybe i'm just too afraid to play her LOL

on the socializing part i'm almost starting to run out of options? last year no one on campus was actually down to have someone new in their circle (though everyone's been nice of course) and i'll be trying again in the international version of this study next year so i MIGHT just need all the thoughts and prayers i can get. oh also Yea i guess i'm an adult now though none of it ever feels that way 

for the Extended Failure of getting you a copy of blue prince That Almost Looked Like It Was Done On Purpose can't you guys just start a steam family? that way you can share the games and only have to buy each game once (ALTERNATIVELY.. ROB small indie studios of their well deserved money)

for the games mentioned above i will be checking them out cause they actually sound cool? somehow? (and because that description reminds me of blue prince) any more gem recommendations are appreciated as that would save me the time spent looking for them.. duh...

LMAO YEAH it was truly one of the runs of all time. that also sounds like a combo to happen if there ever was one. i love the stupid bullshit this game lets you do sometimes. AND YEAH especially after making her underpowered in the first game they so not only upped her power level but also even her badassery in the second game. i love her 

eugh yeah thats pretty often how it feels, especially if most of the people you run into have been at the college longer or just have established friends. i haven't had any luck at college itself im ngl (i didn't speak to anyone aside from my profs for my first 2 semesters and after that it was only for group projects). the ONLY success i have had socially so far has unironically been game nights or social outings hosted by folks in the local kink scene. which one requires having a certain level of capacity to search for such events and two requires being chill with hearing some wild conversations but for someone like me who is considered a weirdo freak by most (plural who hates being human and is 90% otherkin) they've been really fun to hang out with and its nice not being seen as the freak of the room. but yeah kind of a niche tech that is very case by case I cannot lie

it feels very on purpose considering every gifting holiday she fails or is several months late to get me something and i dont really want to reward her with access to my collection of games for free. i've kind of just resigned to the fact i'll probably have to buy it myself and def plan to once my finances are a little more stable (moving be like that)

YOU TOTALLY SHOULD i cannot recommend them enough and i am constantly on the lookout for games that scratch that itch. other gems to me are uhhhh if you like visual novels of the Devil and The Divine Deception + The Specter's Desire are good (some heavy shit in TDD tho be warned), Rabbit & Steel I've played a lot of with friends which is like a coop bullet hell, 100% Orange Juice sounds like a joke recommendation but I have been playing it on and off with buddies for so many years because it's fun and can be very chaotic, uhhhh. Those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head

ALSO TOTALLY WOULD BE DOWN TO PLAY THEM like i said about the finances any non-free ones may have to wait but hopefully not too long

hell yeah thanks so much for the recommendations!! sometimes i'm like Well What Do I Play Now when i get bored of the game of the week.. which is when i will be checking out at least some of these (also haven't heard of them sadly which might be a good thing given i get to play peak for the first time?)

the social thing is genuinely wild to hear but honestly? i might just try it LOL what's the worst that could happen (i know what the worst would be. not finding any meetups at all, leaving me to wonder if i've missed something really cool)

was also asking cause this esports club i went to ended up consisting of... just regular people.. which definitely isn't a bad thing BUT when i go to the esports club CHANCES ARE i want to play Games you know😭😭i suppose just talking is fine as well though i can do that everywhere

ok in all seriousness i feel like gifting material stuff (or mostly nonpersonalized 'Cool For A Week'-like gifts) is kind of.. lazy? i much prefer making something (spending time) that is like. completely dedicated to the person in question cause that just feels ever so slightly more special if you get what i mean

i am very sorry to hear about the financial situation though.. you ever tried scamming the elderly out of their pension funds?? or like starting a new pyramid scheme? heard those do pretty well RIGHT (i hope you at some point manage to get it all together and live comfortably. but i have no real advice given i SUCK at finances and stay afloat by replacing meat in my meals with cheap veggies)
