Horror movies

I watched a lot of horror movies today. I watched house of 1000 corpses, the skeleton key, terrifier, and hell raiser.

I had never seen house of 1000 corpses before. I didn't expect it to be how it was. I thought the guy from that shop would be in the movie more. For him being the face or the movie in my opinion I expected him to be the way he was, but not who he was to the movie. It kind of felt like a fever dream but in a good way. The way Rob Zombie filmed it couldn't have been any better. You can tell there was genuine fear on the actor(s) faces. The people who were casted to play these roles where amazing. The way even when showing the 'scary' parts there was still enough light to see what was happening made it that much better.

When I stumbled on the skeleton key, I didn't read anything I just thought the name looked good. I'm not normally one for anything paranormal or witchy. Those are what I watch to actually get scared. This movie had me minorly until the literal end. I think it may have been newer movie. I say this because of the camera quality, but if it was gritty I don't think it would have been as good. This movie was really good and did creep me out just a little. Overall, it was really good, big plot twist at the end.

I have seen Terrifier before but was watching it with my boyfriend. Heads up though this franchise is known to be gory just for the love of the game. My boyfriend was looking stuff up and I got to questioning things I hadn't the first time I seen it. Which led me to finding out there is a movie on all the lore before this that you should watch. I sadly didn't do that, but you should it think it actually makes the movies make more sense and scarier. I think everyone loves Art the Clown. He is just so.... happy? That is the best word I can think of for him anyway.

My boyfriend picked this movie telling me a very memorable and identifying feature of Hell boy. After the movie ended, I relisted he was wrong. The feature he told me was about the main character's appearance. Anyway, on to the actual movie. This movie was a little bit of an older one. Which I'm not complaining, a lot of older movies look better in my opinion due to the grittiness of the camera quality. In older horror films they also have a habit of giving you enough light to actually see the thing your spouted to be scared of. When newer films try to just make it darer and you can't see the thing your spouted to be cared of I loss interest. For example, Krampus. The monster they show in the attic would have probably scared me bad if I could have seen it.  

Anyway, that's my take all really good movies would recommend.
