Horror recommendation 2

I’m probably just gonna use this blog to talk about horror related stuff, since no one else at school give enough of a shit about that stuff to ever wanna talk about it with me. I guess that’s kinda what I’ve been doing anyways since the only other post I have is Horror Recommendation 1, but whatever. Anyways,

Title: Cemetery Man (Dellamorte Dellamore)

Release date: 1994

Subgenre: horror-comedy, splatter, zombies

Rating: 5/5

This is probably one of my favorite movies I’ve seen this year. It’s fun as hell, but at the same time a genuinely incredible movie. The basic plot is Francesco Dellamorte works as a custodian in a cemetery where the dead keep rising up from their graves seven days after their burial, and Francesco is the one who has to put them back.

This film is, like I said, probably one of (if not my favorite) movies I’ve seen this year (and quite possibly in my top 10 of all time). It’s funny, gory, surreal, atmospheric, and most importantly, fun as hell. Plus it actually made me care about the romance side of things, which is very rare for a film to do. But again, it’s not just a fun, campy zombie movie (although it is that as well), there’s so much more going on beneath the surface of this movie too. Super underrated film in my opinion.

It’s not for everyone, it’s definitely more weird and surreal, and if you’re just looking for a classic zombie movie this probably isn’t what you’re looking for, but I personally thought it was amazing and I had a lot of fun with it, so recommended.
