Hot take?cold take? Just something that needs to be said

My take is politics were never boring and you guys dont seem to care about it until it is far too late. The amount of times that I've seen people say "I miss when politics were boring" is just ignorant. I dont ever remember politics being boring as some who as a immigrant father.

Politics used to be so boring but imagine how boring it was to immigrants or a child of an immigrant. I remember being so scared to lose my dad when I was in 2nd grade after Trump was elected. Imagine how boring it was having an immigrant father under any president or government and knowing about ice. But when I said we didn't need ice before trumps 2nd presidency people said we did and I was paranoid. Now those same people are going around saying to abolish ice after many American citizens started to die.

Politics used to be so boring but imagine a queer person or kid always being used in politics. Imagine having politicians want to take your rights away. Imagine hearing politicians say something "they should all be lined up and shot in the back of the head" at 13. Imagine not being able to live your life in peace with out someone wanting to ruin it for you. Imagine not even being able to play a sport. 

Politics used to be so boring but Imagine how pocket have been treated for centuries. Imagine getting attacked just because you looked different. Imagine people yelling slurs at you or people who can't reclaim a slur always saying it knowing the history you people went through.

Politics used to be so boring but Imagine the life of a Muslim person. Imagine always being called a terrorist or people having prejudice views against you just because a president of the United States said you are bad people but everyone turned a blind eye on his war crimes. 

Politics used to be so boring but you had the life many people dreamed of living. Where politics ever boring or did you just grow up privileged enough not to care?
