Hottest take

I think tiktok is the new myspace BUT without the total customization of your profile and other shit like that. Other than that its literally the same thing repackaged. We still have those coked-out racist scene kids, people who are way too old to be on the platform, emos who are still thriving, and majority of everyone is mentally ill. The only difference is that people are having a woke olympics while simultaneously contradicting the things they say. It's the same shit different year lol

So far for me here, FriendRewind is like MySpace but with more wholesome, authentic and chill people.

Which is what I really like about FriendRewind.

myspace set the foundation and inspiration for people to create their "ideal' online social place, where you could meet other people from all around the world

the problem is that myspace promoted a more ACTUAL and AUTHENTIC approach to other people, by enganging in coversations about stuff you both relate to.Tiktok became a place where people could share a watered down and perfected version of themselves and their life, without its negative parts and flaws.Myspace encouraged a more authentic approach to your introduction in the social place and putted more accent on what your personality was, rather than your physical aspect or things that you could "flex" on the internet

I agree but tiktok and myspace have two things in common and that's availability and influence. People on MySpace (Especially Scene kids) were doing the same thing where they posted only good portions of their lives but it was in a more authentic way. Tiktok genuinely takes that curated "perfect" lifestyle and cranks it up to 1 million because now there's so many influencers who are larping there entire lives lol.

that's really my problem.Tiktok users are just bland persons, sheeps following the herd just to fit in.They're afraid or unmotivated to express their true self due to fear of rejection from the common folk and that they might end up alone cuz they cannot find someone authentic to share a friendship. On myspace (or its counterparts) authenticity and being your own person seems to be the norm

oh and also tiktok has unfunny stickers, slop content and buzz words, which all suck

I haven't really checked around TikTok but you're telling me that "Influencers" there are basically like Chris Chan but not crazy and doing awful things but they're lapping their personal lives out there just like Chris Chan? LOL XD
