well, first of all you need to stop making the crush a god and put it on a pedestal. we are all human beings. we all have flaws that we wish to hide. if you don't know that person very well of course you are not gonna see the flaws, eveyone wants to show the best version of themselves.
then all you need to do is treat them like a human being. imagine how you would wish to be treated and do the same.
