I believe this differs for everybody, which is why I ask. How accepting are you guys of DMs? Maybe this depends on whether they’re from your friends or from random people who find your profile cool.
I read on the forum space for FriendRewind etiquette that messaging people right away is usually a no-go, but this can vary from person to person
For reference, my DMs are always open. But due to my age I’d rather they come from 18+ profiles. This can be for friends of mine or even random people on this site! Just don’t be mean and you’re all good :] How about you guys?

Personally, I love getting DMs! From friends especially—I love to learn more about my friends—but you never know what sort of friendship can develop from a random DM out of the blue as well.
