I was in the shower yesterday thinking about spiderman due to me watching a clip about the wonderful movie kraven the hunter, which made me want to get rhino pills so my soft rhino could become a tough one...
I was thinking about each spiderman movies' villains and I got to spiderman 3
I like that movie tbf, was a fun watch but the problem is that it tried to juggle with 3 different villains (venom, sandman and harry osborne), which all led to a messy ending where spidey kills venom (AND EDDIE) with a pumpkin grenade and harry dies too (idk what happened to sandman)
Guess it's a common theme for spiderman movies to be "bad" when they try to handle more villains in it, with the sole exception of NWH, which was just ... nostalgia slop (other case is the amazing spiderman 2, which had... maybe 2 main villains, rhino is there but idk if he fully counts)
It's an occuring problem because what makes the villain in the movie great is that he's the only bad character who needs focus, meaning that the movie can spend a bit ot time to build the character and introduce it properly to the audience
if you got 3 villains... shit gets messy up fast
so instead, here's what sam raimi could've done instead
aka just stick to 1 villain per movie:
1.Spiderman (2001, Norman Osborn's Green Goblin) simple enough, introduces Spiderman's most iconic villain
2.Spiderman 2 (2004, Dr Octopus) again, iconic villain and deveeloped well
3.Spiderman 3: Green Legacy (2007, Harry Osborn's Green Goblin): instead of working with 3 villains, this movie could focus on Harry's mission to conclude the mystery surrounding Norman's death, where, just like in the actual movie, he'll take the GG's mantle and try to ruin Peter's life, where he'd die due to one of his gadgets, just like his dad, and forgave peter. This would also broke him, seeing his best friend die just because he followed his dad's steps and repeated everything... even his failure.
4.Spiderman 4:Fractured Memories (2010, Sandman): This movie would've basically be about Peter finding out the real killer of Uncle Ben.Depressed after the death of Harry and MJ could've possibly break up and leave him following SP3, we would've gotten a more violent and dark Spiderman who was more brutal when he would've dealt with other minor villains, while pursuing a quest to revenge his uncle. The movie would've had Peter learn about Sandman's tragic life, making him more detetmined to leave his negative mind and rotting thoughts go to re-become the Friendly Neighourhood Spiderman people know and love.
5.Spiderman 5:A new shade (2012/13, Venom):Peter lives a normal life and all, until, after a fight, an exhausted Peter would've met a black moving goo.The symbiote would've unite itself with Peter, and basically it's the entire SP3 with the Symbiote's suit, even the bell scene, but it woul've focused more on Peter's new personality and how the symbiote changed him.Eddie would, again, become Venom and the battle will be a bigger one than the one at the end of SP3.Opposite to it, Venom would survive and leave Eddie to pursuit a new target and it could've offer a post credit scene teasing either a new Sinister 6 or Carnage.
imo this lineup would've not only result in a better SP3, but also would've led to it becoming one of the best superhero franchises ever
lemme know if either I'm a lunatic or should've got hired by Sam Raimi itself.

Honestly, to me Tobey McGuire is the Spiderman and nobody who replaced him after ever came close to him or even replaced him.
Tobey McGuire is the one and only Spiderman to me.
