How to download working MSN / Windows Live Messenger in 2026!

Step 1:

Go here and make an account in order to receive a working login you can use on MSN! This site from what I gather is a bunch of Nostalgic tech lovers that want to keep old messaging services alive, which I love. Them and their sister project NINA also have working AOL, AIM, and Yahoo messenger. 

Once you sign up you'll have an email to log in with, should be (insert your username)@escargot.chat, along with the password you've created. You'll need both of these to log into MSN.

Step 2:

Now you have an account to sign in with, download MSN here from their site. Do NOT forget to download the Windows 11 patcher that's also linked on the page, if you are using Windows 11.

Step 3:

Open the MSN file and install. Then open the file that downloads alongside it, select MSN and then select patch! 

If you're using the Windows 11 patcher too, use the same steps as above, but after doing these you also need to open the Windows 11 patcher file you've downloaded and select patch with this one too.

Step 4:

Open MSN (Windows Live Messenger) and log in using your Escargot email and the password you used to sign up! Enjoy the nostalgia and add me if it works for you! -> [email protected]
