"I don't Like Rap"

My first instinct of whenever someone says they don't "like" rap is always, "they don't know anything about music"

I don't want this blog to be super long, so I won't go into full detail but to be frank;

If you think rap is overstimulating, violent, unmusical, and annoying.

Then you're wrong.

And in most cases, it's because of racism.

Rap is one of the most poetic, deepest, and lyrical genres in music. 

Rap quite literally stands for Rhythm And Poetry.

Many people connect rap music to a certain demographic, People of color

People of color have been subjected to this for hundreds of years, their creations and inventions not getting the positive claims they deserve just because of the color of their skin and stereotypes around them.

I've met people who think rap is just violent and "thug" music. And it's so frustrating to see such blind people who can't appreciate a whole genre because their minds can't get past ingrained racism.

People also forget there's different types of rap, cloud rap, old school, jazz rap, trap, drill, and so many more.

Rap is definitely one of the most diverse genres, and it deserves all the hype it gets, whether if it's about the political climate, lifestyle, relationships, familiars, it proves to be an amazing genre that doesn't deserve to get brought down by ignorant people.
