I finally got Animal Crossing for my Wii !!!

I recently got Animal Crossing City Folk for my Wii and I'm loving it so much!

Until now I had only played Animal Crossing New Leaf (the 3DS one) and Animal Crossing Wild World (the DS one). They are both incredible gems in the series. 

Animal Crossing Wild World was a huge innovation compared to the first title (the one for Nintendo GameCube). Such a nostalgic game, full of great features that future entries lost, like sassy villagers and special events (some of them disapreared as well in upcoming games, which makes it even more nostalgic and unique). 

Animal Crossing New Leaf it's still considered by most of the comunity to be the best Animal Crossing game, despite the release of New Horizons. It brought us the classic premise of the series, but making us the major. It was an incredible upgrade in general, the graphics, the decorative posibilities, the shops, the island, the amiibos, the campsite... Definitely, two amazing titles of the saga.

In the middle of those two incredible entries, Nintendo released Animal Crossing City Folk for the Wii. While doing some research to learn more about special features and events in this games, I found out that it's the most disliked one among fans. The main reason I've seen that explains why, is that, after being Wild World such an innnovation for the series, people were expecting an incredible upgrade in the Wii version, but they all think that City Folk is just Wild World in your TV.

In my opinion, I don't think it is that way at all. First of all, I find the controls super confortable and easy. I love the whole concept of the city and all the cool stores you can find there (Gracie's shop is incredible, and you can change your hairstyle easier at Shampoodle's). There are a lot of special events that weren't avaliable in Wild World, such as Halloween or the Easter one. They rescued the wishes fountain from the GameCube version, which I think i'ts so cool. And they kept the classic apereance of Animal Crossing, but improving a lot the graphics. (I'm probably forgetting something but the main idea is there😅). I just really like this Animal Crossing! it's probably my favorite after New Leaf 😍.

I was so happy to get this Animal Crossing game cause I've always wanted to play the classic versions since I was a kid (I've always loved retro nintendo consoles and games, they have a special vibe). I couldn't play it before cause I didn't have a Wii (I used to when I was a kid but it broke and I never got a new one). But after wanting to buy one for a long time, I finally got one this year! (the nostalgia hits hard whenever I play with it). Being able to enjoy Animal Crossing in my Wii now feels unreal! I'm loving it so much! (I also get to enjoy some of my other favorite games for the Wii)

Personally, I love so much all the Animal Crossing games I've played! They are all unique and special in some way. Playing the older ones feels like time travelling. Now there's only one left for my collection: The GameCube one, the first Animal Crossing. Since my Wii can read GameCube discs, now that's a possibility! If I get it, I'll definitely blog about it 😉.
