i finished madoka magica (so i'm gonna rant about it)

so some weeks ago, i made a post saying i wanted to watch a new anime. i finally stopped procrasinating and decided to watch madoka magica. 

madoka magica is a series with twelve episodes (if i remember correctly), each 23-25 minutes long. so i finished it all in one night. honestly, it was pretty good. the artstyle is cute, as well as the character designs. i was just shocked about the storyline. 

it literally looks like a kids show wth was all that man? 

but honestly, people hype it up too much if you ask me. it is dark, especially for such a light-hearted looking show, but it really isn't as dark as people make it out to be. i don't want to spoil anything for people who want to watch it, but yeah, it's kind of depressing but it really isn't anything that'll make you go "wow, this is going to stick with me forever". however, i'm talking about the main series. i haven't seen any of the movies yet, but i will. 

i do think madoka magica is worth watching, it's a good anime, but i do think it's more surprising than dark. it's a cute show. 

when i watch the movies, i'll talk about that too. 

i haven't started any other animes (yet), i'm just rewatching death note atm because i love death note. i might watch danganronpa next, though. either that or assassination classroom. whichever's shorter ngl.
