a stray cat appeared at our doorstep immediately all cuddly, we left her out over night since our cat was being nasty out of fear, leaving her food and water, the next morning she's still there.
She's already been spayed but she has no chip so she's probably one of those strays they catch, spay and vaccinate, and then just let back outside.
She is insanely sweet for a stray, she must know it's a good way to get food, but she seemed more focused on shelter since she really wanted inside.
We've named her Tataru, our already existing cat is named Alisaie.
Alisaie has been super scared of Tataru, to the point that she'll hiss at us if she smells Tataru on us. Alisaie doesn't attack though so she's definitely just afraid.
My plan right now is to mostly keep Tataru in one room and move Alisaie's food and water to be next to the door Tataru. I need to get Alisaie used to Tataru's scent.
I very much suspect this will take a month if not longer, but I've done this before. I had to introduce a old and stubborn cat with a hyperactive kitten, I've got the patience.
On the bright side, Alisaie will be getting a lot of treats.
