The word is annoying and SO overused, who even made that word. Bcs of social media it even lost it's meaning, people just throwing around that word at anyone they see, especially when a person said they started liking a band or artist or game that existed for a long time but just got a hybe, like if they geniunely spend time with whatever they found just let them be. As much as i know a larper is someone who pretends to be a huge fan of smth but actually isn't and NOT someone who is new to a fandom.
And if u don't even know if a person is new or not to a fandom dont call them a "larper" either cus how woukd u know, maybe they've been a fan since childhood?

Everytime I hear or see this word, it sends me into a bottle of rage. Originally, the term “larp” meant live action roleplay, but then people decided to change the meaning to the same thing as an already existing word, aka poser. It’s hella annoying when people use this word to refer to someone as a “poser” like at this point you might aswell just say the actual word!
