I have a conspiracy theory about the mormon church

(disclaimer: this is a shitpost and not written with any actual prejudice towards any group)

You probably know who the mormons are, but if you don't basically they're a controversial christian denomination who essentially control the entire state of Utah. What's noteworthy about them for my theory is their obsessive love of sugar. A bit of background: Mormons are very well known for coming up with creative ways to circumvent the rules of their own religion (google "soaking" for an NSFW example). Most notably, their religion forbids them from drinking coffee or tea, so to get around this they drink copious amounts of soda. Soda shops in Utah are about as common as Starbucks anywhere else. Particularly they love something called a "dirty soda" which is just a soda with cream/milk and some syrups thrown in.

Here's where it gets interesting: over the past few years, there has been an increased push in marketing of dirty sodas to a non-mormon demographic, back in 2022 there was a Christmas commercial by pepsi featuring Lindsay Lohan drinking "pilk" (a type of dirty soda featuring milk and pepsi. Crumbl cookies, a company founded by mormons known for their absurdly sugary products, introduced dirty sodas to their product line recently, KFC sells a dirty Dr. Pepper, and Mountain Dew released a dirty soda variant of their classic flavor (which tastes awful, by the way).

So my conspiracy theory is this: For hundreds of years now, The Mormon Church has been doing mission trips to recruit new members of the church, but they've never been particularly successful. So they decided to come at it from a new angle, they began partnering with these companies to sell dirty sodas to non-mormons as a means of reeling them in. If the mormons have these delicious drinks, what else might they have? it's all a giant psyop to trick people into joining, and all our money's going into Benson Boone's pockets!

Or maybe they just want to sell soda idk
