I need some help =3=; (more so advice)

Hey!! So, um to cut to the chase, I really want to go scene (I am trying anyways), I love the look of it all. I'm hoping to get the haircut, but I want to go all the way. I know its a little odd as my first blog.. But on before I switched to this site from Spacehey, I wasn't getting any responses sense the site is pretty dead. <:(

For context, I'm on a tight budget. I'm don't exactly have money, and clothing I want is all super expensive!! The thing is I'm scared of being a "poser" and not capturing the look all because I can't afford things. I want to be scene, like really bad, but I have no clue how to do the makeup, dress the style, accessorize, or where to get rlly anything...

Also, a big question I have that I have that people on tiktok don't give clear answers to- if I don't dye my hair, does that make me a poser? I'm super nervous about dying my hair bc I have never dyed it and I don't know what colors would look good on me :[ (not to mention how expensive that would be for me TmT)

But anyways, any advice other long term scene kids have would be greatly appreciated!

Kudos: 1

I may not be the ideal person to respond to this, seeing as I'm not really a scene person myself.. but me personally, when it comes to styling outfits I try looking at pinterest to see how to style and accessorize!

I do this for drawing my OC's outfits, which can be very helpful even if you're actually trying to style the clothes!

For makeup, I suggest youtube out of anything since they most likely go into depth with steps, this is coming from a baby jirai, they will go into steps in detail

As for the clothing, thrifting and DIY your current closet might be the way to go if you're on a very tight bugdet! You don't need to stitch and stuff to DIY your closet either, from what I'm aware of, even fabric paint and tweaking the way it fits your body might help too! I'm not completely sure if that helps but it might!

Lastly, not dying your hair shouldn't make you any of a scene person! I recall seeing a few scene people on social media without their hair dyed! If you are concerned about it, maybe invest in false hair like clip in hair extensions or even wigs!

Hopefully this is useful, again, I'm not the ideal person to be giving advice since I'm not scene myself..

Thank you sm!! this definitely helped with my understanding more ^v^ (also ty abt the hair thing, i was super worried)
