Now don't me wrong i really really really love the film BUT a lot was missing that felt crucial like in some scenes it felt montage to montage and then a few scenes but maybe i'm being too judgemental as its just a biopic not an actual documentary but I really wish they would touch on his relationships maybe explore more about his family they could have made so many more films that people would watch of them delving into Michael, I totally understand that Janet didn't want to be apart of the film but it felt odd that she didn't want to be maybe it was too upsetting for her but shes a big part of michael's life honestly i don't see janet as Michael's sister I see janet as her own person as she had almost the same amount of success as Michael so I wonder how they will continue with the absence of Janet.
I really liked it though I enjoyed how they kept showing how peter pan impacted his view on his life and how it always followed him throughout his life, its a great way to set up his "peter pan" personality that develops from his trauma. I cried in one bit also not a lot but I did feel a lot of emotion especially in his kid scenes Michael was set up to fall by a lot of people in his life. I wish he was still here but I'm glad hes resting where no one can hurt him anymore.
I'm sorry if this whole thing sounds so cringe but Michael Jackson was actually a lot in my childhood I used to listen to his bad album on my mum's ipod all the time and I used to watch the love never felt so good music video on youtube on my 3DS when youtube was allowed on there.. Also my family always loved michael, especially my brother he used to pretend to be him when he was younger even one of his friends said that younger michael reminded him of my brother which i kinda understand. So I have been a quiet fan of Michael for a long time but ever since the whole buzz I actually feel I can be more of a fan since its not such a "negative" thing as much as it used to be, obviously people do get upset about the topic which is understandable but in my personal opinion I believe he was innocent.
Anyways this is super late, but i just wanted to post this as I feel very passionate about it <3
I rate the movie 8/10🎬🎼
