so, i just finished watching julie & julia and to say that movie was the worst thing in the world would be wrong, but to say it was amazing wouldnt be right either. i dont know, i think it was a little long in my opinion and i didnt realise at first that it was going to be a switching pov-style film but that was okay too. it was a mediocre movie to my tastes, which made me very upset and disappointed that i spent my long weekend movie night watching something so...unsatisfying. i have yet to feel satisfied enough to go to sleep and its almost 5am at this point.
(side note, i just got reminded of how AWEFUL my lipbalm stinks because i puckered my lips and went into alert mode thinking i smelt smoke or a gas leak. yikes.)
which also goes into the more interesting and fun aspect of this entry: i think that the movie did give me inspiration and motivation to get into the kitchen more often and cook/bake. i imagine the genuine satisfaction that cooking a dish by recipe and having it turn out perfect is amazing (the kinda satisfaction that movie DIDNT make me feel....okay ill stop now.). maybe after my exams ill attempt some recipes out of the cookbooks hanging around my house. hm.
