kodak camera "glitched"

CHAT, can anyone help me about this little issue i have...? So basically, i've had this purple little kodak camera for over 11 years, i have photos and videos of when i was little and yada yada. A few months ago, i was charging it with a normal cable(tho i should have somewhere its battery charger as well) and i was operating with the camera while it was charging like i "always do", nothing would happen when i would do it in the past. But suddently the screen went black and it didn't turn on, tho the objective is still out(it normally folds back inside when the camera shuts off). 

When i plug it in to charge again, the black screen turns "on", like, i can tell it's on(it becomes dark blue or sum) and its little white light flashes, just to stop suddenly and turn off again just like that. 

I have a theory that the battery itself of the camera is with low battery, so i should only charge it(if i find the charger) but if it's not... i honestly have no idea what happened. 

It happened out of the blue like that, it was on, and in a second it's off with its objective still out.
