Labels, what a drag XP

One month I'm not fussed at all by labels and I'm perfectly content with who I am as simply a human, but then the next I'm all confused because I don't know what I am.

For a very long time I identified as lesbian, but recently I've stopped referring to myself as such. It's not because I've found a boy I like or anything, I haven't actually had a crush since like 5th grade... I just have found myself considering the possibility that I could like a boy too.
I know things can change, but it's just that I've identified as lesbian for so long, and used to not be able to imagine the possibility of liking a boy. I still can't tell if I think I'd be able to like a boy or whether I'm subconsciously trying to not be lesbian. I think that all the lesbian jokes I kept receiving, and all the times peoples expressions/behaviour changed subtly upon finding out I'm gay has worn down on me.

I'm not saying that I'm distraught at the idea of not being lesbian, I'm more distressed over whether or not I'm being affected by the constant subtle/internalised/micro aggressions towards queerness in my environment. I also don't think watching all my friends (all straight) getting boyfriends and being able to live their lives without having to worry about how everyone else thinks of their relationship. But if I like boys too its whatever.

I think I have too many straight friends XC

Just to make it clear, I'm not overly fussed, at the end of the day I am just me and thats all I need to be.

TLDR: I'm not worried about how to label myself, I'm worried that I'm letting my environment change who I am

Honestly, maybe you *do* have many straight friends— just maybe tho.

In my own experience, being around queer people saves you a lot of microaggression shit. Im not saying it saves all of it but its probably at least +50% of it, and i definitely feel more comfortable and less worried about that stuff around my queer friends rather than straight ones. Still, i think its okay if you wanna explore the possibility of being attracted to boys— a while ago i thought i was bisexual, it's all just big old exploration i suppose... you got this bro!
