leiviticus !! CONTAINS MOVIE SPOILERS !!

i watched this movie and deadass cried in the theater. the metaphor of this movie was perfectly done and i loved the fact that we see acceptance at the end. for me, i thought it represented internalized homophobia, the way that this creature was only taking the form of the person they desired most and trying to hurt them to push them farther away from one another and acceptance. the death of hunter symbolizing the way he was never able to accept his sexuality. i only speculate this because at the end, when we say ryan and naim running away together, naim simply ignores the doppleganger he sees it outside as he and ryan ride away on the bus from the fundamentalist christan town they live in, meaning he finally accpets his sexuality and his love for ryan fully. anyway, i'd love to hear anyone elses thoughts on this movie if they saw it and tell me what they thought!!!
