looks like console gaming has offically began its dead man wallking phase

never in my life would i ever expect for console gaming to actually turn to a worse version of the pc its also worse because today i turned 17

if you havent heard sony finally responded to the outrage on their twitter after getting ratiod on literaly every post after they announced that theyll discontinue production of discs in 2028

in short they basically said "no we wont change our minds, shut up, you are just nostalgic for discs and if you want one SO BADLY we let 3rd party publishers to release boxed verisons with a download code inside" 

which doesnt exactly bring any hopes of this being a very late april fools prank 

unless xbox does what sony did in 2014 as an easy dunk on sony, console gaming has officially started its death timer ..

which sucks because when 2028 rolls around why would you ever want to by a console again aside from convenience? its NOT AFFORDABLE in the slightest and by the looks of it itll KEEP GETTING PRICIER, you are locked with the playstation store which fucking sucks and everything is super expensive there and you cant do anything else on it while on pc (even tho its more pricey its way more useful in the longrun) you can basically play every game from any console ever for free and then some

so what the hell can you even do about it? while being doom and gloom is an adequate reaction it wont resolve anything so heres what you should actually do. 

invest in a pc and switch to linux 

thats it really but obv not everyone can do that so heres a more reasonable action 

1. stop updating the firmware of ur playstation 4/5 and turn off auto-updates

2. wait for the best CFW to update to the firmware u are on

3. ???

4. PROFIT

take advantage of the things that are YOURS and jailbreak ur ps4 or 5

and thats it really ur ps4/5 will be urs to do as you see fit and every game ever released on them will be granted an indefinite 100% discount forever

and thats the best way u can combat this really use whats yours and dont let these companies dictate you around 

even to casuals who dont care much should do this  because it affects them as this makes gaming even MORE unaffordable and itll prevent more people to join it

and thats it yea not much else to say about this

and also dont defend these companies its bad for you
