lucienne - a dnd character spotlight!

"Hi, I'm Lucienne. Everyone calls me Amour though, and by the end of the mission, you will too!"

My girl has been in an almost 4 year campaign, and it's coming to a close at the end of August. It's bittersweet, and I fear it's going to end in tragedy, unlike so many other campaigns I've both been in and watched.

She's in a homebrew sci-fi campaign, with some cyberpunk and various rules sets sprinkled in. A bit of 3.5 skill ranking, where my girl has like a +20 intimidation check, so DCs can be super high.

Since it's homebrew, there are several factions. She's a station liaison, which is a basically an NGO organization across the galaxy that spies on the bigger factions and makes sure they're not committing too atrocious war crimes (but also other spy duties). They're based on old Earth countries, and exaggerated, so she's from Space Station Frahntz

It all started here, with my doll base, trying to figure out what her overall design would look like...

Then she needed a token to use on Roll20...

I felt super proud with how standout her silhouette was. And her face felt unique for what my art style often ended up making characters look like. She had a solid theme and identity in design already. Her uniform was an altered and punk-ified version of her work uniform!

I didn't give her any piercings, but wanted her to be alt so I went back to the base and drew all these tattoos for her! I went for a sort of trash polka style. And they tie into her backstory deeply! Her favorite color is purple because her mom's is red, and her dad (who she doesn't know) was a Federation soldier (their color is blue!). Her mom is a pacifist seamstress, who she learned her DIY skills from. At the beginning of the campaign, she struggled with killing people, any time she missed she became frustrated that she felt too weak to actually hit her shots. Her dad's is full of shield imagery, since all she knows is he left to protect the family. There's portraits of them both!

Then the purple is her! She has the heart since she's kind and caring. She loves bows and cute things. Then on her leg, she has the revolver she loves and the peace signs for the blend of violence and pacficism she struggles with. There's a bottle and pills since at the start of the campaign she was sober. She was a model prior to being a spy, and was heavy into the vices that followed from that. She now is almost always high, never refusing anything (her stats are always in an altered state from a drug, I lowkey forgot the modifiers but now it's story).

During the campaign, a character and her got matching ring tattoos, so the one on her pinky is a promise to someone in her party that they'll be friends and protect each other!

Speaking of, over the course of the campaign, she's lowkey become bloodthirsty. There are two kinds of people: her friends, and those who threaten her friends. And she'll do anything to protect her friends! So much so she has the double tap feat and recently acquired the dual wielding feat!

One time, they assassinated the owner of a nightclub and took it over (now called Club Paradise), so they have a source of passive income! Here's her club fit:

They also entered a poker tournament, and she made it to the finals, one of her party members won it all! Here's a mock poster I'd imagine they'd make of her since she was kinda a shark!

She's constantly travelling the galaxy, so here's a gif of her doing her makeup while they fly!

One of the npcs declared himself emperor, this is the outfit she wore to his coronation! He always wears black, so she wanted to honor him in her outfit choice!

We've played so long we've had holiday sessions, here's her Halloween costume!

And then she's going steady with an NPC. I think they're soooo cute. She's the emotional pouting babygirl and he's a tough guy that protects her. He lied to her about his identity in the beginning, his ex looked SUPER similar to her, so she's crashed out at him a bit, but I think they're made for each other <3
