Bigger blog post today! Maybe I'll make this a weekly thing.
First of all, Happy 46th Bday Mikey Way!!!! Black Parade 20th anniversary pre orders dropped today and I'm so mad because the signed records were only $40 CAD and they all sold out within 5 minutes. The rainbow record is still pretty sick.
Speaking of Black Parade, they very vaguely mentioned that the new edition of the album would have a bunch of unreleased stuff from that era. We already have Living with Ghosts and the BP B sides, so it will be interesting to see what other content came of that era. Personally I'm also hoping for the Dagger version of Mama and maybe a live recording of one of the covers they've done this tour. (Jack the Ripper by Morrissey in particular lol.)
Oh yes, and also with the new MCR website update, I would like to take a minute to mourn the Danger Days zones security cameras that were up.
Anyways, Sept 12 is a big day for my 3 main interests!
DanAndPhilGAMES, Pinof 4 (which is my favourite pinof), and Breach by Twenty One Pilots all began/came out on that day. It's also the unofficial-official MCR founding date. AND the mysterious date that Frank posted on his story is ALSO that day...
And Dan and Phil tour VERY soon! I've been trying to go to the last 3 tours and the timing has been awful, but such is life I suppose. Regardless, I'll be interested to see what the merch entails.
Now that that's over, it seems it's time for the current, more personal updates.
Now that the school year has begun, so has the urge to romanticize it. I've realized that it's become an obsessive habit and sometimes I remind myself that I'm somewhat walking in the footsteps of Richard Papen, which both terrifies and disgusts me. Is having a morbid longing for the picturesque REALLY that bad? (Yes. It is.)
Regardless, I will continue with this obsession. I have a very specific catalog of books and movies that I am required to experience during the autumn months. Once I'm done reading The Picture of Dorian Gray, I am SO happy to announce that I'll finally be beginning The Secret History once again. That book is a disease. Additionally, I HAVE already rewatched Dead Poets Society 4 times this year, but it shouldn't hurt to rewatch it a few times more this month. (...Well. Now that I think about it, it will be extremely painful. But worth it in my opinion.)
I could quite literally talk for hours about all of the many things that I'll be doing in preparation for autumn, but I'll end it here while I still can.
