So... not sure how I feel like starting this? I guess I just noticed that there's not a whole lot of discussion of modular plurality out there. Which is difficult when we're fairly certain we are a modular system (or at least our host/host subsystem is modular) and trying to learn how to manage it.
For the unaware I'd suggest looking for explanations on pluralpedia for modular and modular spectrum but in short, modular plurality is when rather than a distinct and mostly-stable headmate, you have fragments or particles that can be combined into "flares", which can then have their components swapped out or disassembled back into their smaller pieces.
While I definitely know my fair share of systems and/or plurals, I don't know any modular systems nor is there much about them online. I basically only found one tumblr blog discussing it in detail and even that didn't have so much, so I was hoping to find others and/or people who know about the experience that would be open to discussing it. Singlets or non-modular systems that are just curious, I don't mind if you comment but I can't promise I'll do much explaining/educating.

i didn’t know modular systems existed, this is really interesting. i have one question if that’s ok but no worries if you don’t feel like answering
in the pluralpedia article it says modular DID was first described in a paper that says it’s associated with knowledge of computers. is that true in your experience, does your knowledge of technology affect your system?
I also only learned about it recently but it was very much a lightbulb moment for me.
so really funny story my official title before i quit my job to go back to college was Information Security Specialist which was at an IT company. so I would say I know my way around computers but I'm not SUPER tech-y.
At the moment I don't think it effects us all that much despite that technically applying to us. I could be wrong (I know at one point we explained our system to someone in computer terms but I genuinely don't remember the descriptors used and in general our memory transfer is slow to nonexistent so I doubt I'll be able to get back to you on that)
