moriah elizabeths new vid

ok so for the people that dont know, yesterday, moriah posted a video of her making herslef as one of her characters. the character she chose, ended up being a black cat.

and of course many people took it the wrong way unfortunately. but i feel like people dont truly realize the definition of blackface. i know i cant say too much as im not a poc.

blackface is a term when someone paints their face black in order to MOCK black people. all moriah did was just a costume. she had no intention of mocking or making fun of any poc. the term blackface gets watered down whenever someone misuses the word on an innocent costume.

shes deleted the video but i feel so bad because she really did nothing wrong :(

but please correct me if i got anything incorrect
