Mother nature is offering me a mulligan, the question is do I take it? Is it bait? A bit more nf an elaborate setup this time, but with equal bust potential.
The main driver of this event is a fairly unstable airmass, to the tune of about 1200 J/kg. To allow you to visualize this, imagine this amount of energy constrained in a 1m x 1m x 1m x 1m cube of air, (1m^3=1kg give or take), across most of virginia up to 1km up in the atmosphere.
The main issue I see is no powerful catalyst. Temps dont reduce steeply as you get higher up in the atmosphere (lapse rates), and theres not a lot of shear.
I dont think I will make a concerted effort to chase this in all honesty becasue
1) im already there (its literally my state)
2) clusters of storms and small lines of thunderstorms suck to chase. Im not gonna do that. Id rather have one big line I can chase.
