Here are my answers for Más o Menos's survey! I really liked these questions, they were very thoughtful and fun to think about the answers to.
1.When you wake up, what’s the first thing you usually do?
Turn off my alarm if I have one set, then usually check my phone, which is an unfortunate habit I'm trying to break.
2.Do you make your bed most mornings yes, no, or only on weekends?
I make my bed every morning. I feel off if I don't make it.
3.Coffee, tea, or water first thing?
Water, I don't drink coffee or tea.
4.If it starts raining, do you open a window?
If I can yes absolutely. Some of the storms are a little too strong to open the window for though.
5.On a sunny day, do you seek shade or sunshine?
Shade. I'm medically a vampire (Chronic illness makes me especially vulnerable to sun-related conditions, like skin cancer).
6.What color shirt do you reach for most often?
Black, a lot of my shirts are black.
7.Which snack do you buy most sweet, salty, or fruity?
Fruity or sweet usually. I have a sweet tooth and fruits are good for both fulfilling that and being better for my health than like candy or cookies.
8.When a song you like comes on, do you hum, sing along, or dance even if someone is looking at you?
I usually hum or mouth the words if I'm in public.
9.Do you prefer stairs or elevator when both are easy?
Stairs on good pain days, elevator on bad pain days.
10.At a buffet, do you try new dishes first or go straight to your favorites?
I haven't been to a buffet in a very long time but I generally try a little bit of everything initially and then go back for seconds of the dishes I enjoyed.
11.When you pass a bookstore, do you go in or keep walking?
If I am not in a rush I will absolutely go in, I love bookstores.
12.If you see a dog on a walk, do you greet it, greet the owner, or smile and pass?
Smile and pass. I'm extremely allergic to dogs.
13.Favorite ice cream flavor you’ve bought in the last year?
I got this really good white chocolate raspberry ice cream recently that's just divine.
14.Do you wear a watch daily, sometimes, or never?
Daily. I can't leave the house without my watch.
15.When the room is a bit cold, do you grab a sweater or adjust the thermostat?
I grab a sweater or blanket. I have a particular beige cardigan with large loose sleeves that I really like.
15. Do you keep a water bottle with you always, sometimes, or rarely?
Almost always. I always take one with me to work, and if other social outings call for one I'll bring it along.
17. If a friend texts, how fast do you usually reply right away, within an hour, or later?
I reply when I see the message. Sometimes I see them immediately, sometimes I don't see them for hours.
18. Do you prefer handwritten notes or phone reminders for to dos?
I prefer handwritten notes, unfortunately the phone reminder is a little more convenient most of the time. I'm trying to switch back entirely to written notes, with some success.
19.When offered dessert, do you split one, take a full one, or usually pass?
If there's a dessert that catches my eye at like a restaurant, I usually order it to share with the table. A lot of my friends like getting a couple different desserts and splitting it with everyone so we all get to try them.
20.Favorite pizza topping you order most often?
I dislike pizza most of the time, but my favorite is white sauce, with spinach, chicken, and roasted tomatoes. It's so yummy.
21.If you have 10 free minutes, do you scroll, read, stretch, or tidy?
Tidy. There's always something to clean.
22.Do you check the weather each morning .yes, no, or only if plans depend on it?
Yes, I like knowing what the shape of the day is going to be. I get excited when I see thunderstorms on the radar.
24.At the movies, popcorn, candy, both, or neither?
Candy sometimes, mostly nothing because theater snacks are SO expensive ;-;
25.Do you pick aisle or window seating when you can choose?
Window is preferable.
26.When someone holds a door for you, do you speed up, smile and stroll, or take over the door?
I take over the door for the next person behind me.
27.Do you prefer board games, card games, or word games at gatherings?
I like all three but I gravitate more towards board games. I have almost every expansion for Mansions of Madness and it is my goal to make it everyone else's problem as often as possible.
28.When music is playing at home, is it typically soft background or turn it up?
Generally background music at home. I turn it up on drives.
29.Do you try seasonal drinks/foods when they show up often, sometimes, or rarely?
Often enough. I like a lot of autumnal and winter seasonal things so I try those whenever I see them.
30.Walking pace most days: unhurried, steady, or brisk?
Brisk largely on accident or out of necessity. My friends. Are so fast. Please slow down I have chronic fatigue I can't walk that fast PLEASE slow down.
31.When you see fresh flowers at a store, do you stop to look, give them a quick glance, or pass by?
I at least glance at them. I like flowers.
32.Favorite hot beverage you make at home?
I'm a hot cocoa enjoyer.
33. Do you keep snacks in your bag/desk yes, no, or only during busy weeks?
Yes I do.
34.If you find a comfy chair at a party, do you stay put or roam and mingle?
Provided I'm even at the party in the first place, I stay put. That's my comfy chair now. I live here.
35.Do you prefer sunrise or sunset in practice (which do you catch more)?
Why would you make me choose I love both so much. I catch more sunsets than I do sunrises, but recently I've been getting up early enough to see the sun rise, it's been quite nice.
36.When you try a new restaurant, do you order the special or your “safe pick”?
Safe pick for the first time, and if the safe pick is good then I'll be a little more adventurous the next time I go. I'm extremely picky about food and I feel bad spending money on food I don't like. I tried tuna tartare for the first time a while ago and I didn't like it and it was pretty expensive and I'm still a little devastated.
37.On a weekend morning, are you out early, slow to start, or somewhere in between?
Somewhere in between.
38.Do you like rain walks, rain views from inside, or rain naps?
All three all three all three I love the rain
39. When you see a photo spot, do you take a picture, take a mental note, or keep moving?
If it makes sense to take a photo I will, otherwise note it and keep moving.
40.If you hear a good joke, do you retell it the same day, later, or just enjoy and move on?
I keep it stowed away in my joke reserves and bust it out when nobody expects it. Or I forget about it five minutes later there's no in-between.
