MY CAT ATTACKED A BABY BIRD I WAS TRYING TO SAVE

There was a baby bird on my trampoline and I thought it couldn't fly, so I scooped it up and took it to a tree where my sister poked at it. Then I decided to take it to a different tree since it seemed traumatize, and it WAS kinda far away from the trampoline, so... 

As soon as I put it down, it flew to a shed, then before I know it, MY FREAKING CAT POUNCES AT IT (the cat in my profile picture). I didn't even know she was right there. I picked her up and took her to my deck but of course she came running back to it, so I followed after her. AS SOON AS I LOOK FOR THAT BABY BIRD, ALL I SEE IS GUTS. AND MY CAT IS SNIFFING THEM. I get it's natural, but I just wanted that baby bird to be safe.

I'm so sad. R. I. P. little guy.
