So, as of yesterday I started a new DIY project. I'm basically creating a custom table that works as a hideout for my dog. He loves to hide under things but he's a fairly large dog so it's hard to get pre-made dog hideouts especially when it's for inside use.
So far I took measurements of the corner I'm going to put it in, I found a bunch of wood we have around and marked out where to cut it. I then cut out first the legs for it which was a very funny site for my neighbor to see
My neighbor just saw a tiny goth chick in pj's drill a table saw to a wooden board and use it on the grass. Then proceeded to cut wooden 2×4s that start taller then cut down to 3 ft.
Next I took a giant piece of plywood and used a Sawzall and cut it to size. Then cut a curve in one end so I wouldn't get impaled every time I go into my room. I sanded it down with a handheld belt sander till the top part was built like an ikea table and the legs were smooth enough not to give me slivers every time I inevitably hot by leg on it once it's built.
So far it's going great, except it's too cold to stain or paint it with regular paint, so I went to find spray paint and found that all the spray paint is gone or the canister is clogged. So now I have to go out and buy spray paint.
After I spraypaint it, I get to assemble it inside because it would not fit through the doors if I were to assemble it outside.
I may look like a purple haired goth bimbo, but believe me, i definitely can do alot of trade skills on my own.
