Alright so some people have said I'm a weirdo for liking this movie so I just wanted to clarify what exactly is so fascinating about it.
So this is noted to be one of the most twisted and disturbing movies ever made. It is seen in this way because it shows a bunch of realistic scenes of human brutality and murder. It is not just realistic in its visuals, it also portrays situations that could have definitely happened. Some people say that it crosses too many lines, however, I see it as a portrayal of how real serial killers can be as opposed to the way they are portrayed in Hollywood movies like Scream and Silence Of The Lambs, so it must cross these lines to be an effective movie. It makes you think, it makes you realize that anyone around you could be a serial killer. The ordinary family man with a wife and kids down the street could be hacking apart bodies in his basement. The reckless teenagers you live next to could have hammered someone's skull in the other day. It's not a movie you're supposed to enjoy like some mindless MCU slop, it's an art piece that has a purpose, and that purpose is not pleasant. Some people don't like it and are discomforted by it, and that is okay. However, what is not okay is acting like I am some disgusting fuck for having a fascination with it. Again, it is an art piece, and it is not meant to be enjoyed.
Just for the artistic statement, I highly reccomend this movie if you think you can stomach it. I would also like for you to better understand where I am coming from.
