so a year or two ago i was at a flea-market because i love looking through stuff and getting random old stuff from the 80s or 90s to use since i try to not rely on modern tech cause that's boring and stupid. on that specific day i was trying to look for a woodgrain alarm clock since it drove me insane not seeing the time in my room so i went around and looked at the whole market and right before i was about to leave i seen one, a single silver trim woodgrain alarm clock, i looked at it and was in perfect condition, just a little dirty from the gravel dust. when i went to buy it the lady there was really nice and offered to give me a small portable Quasar tv from 1980 for free when i bought the clock, even was nice enough to plug it in and show the tv and clock worked. obviously i took that offer up and took them both, after that i bought an 8-track tape and went home. once i got home i realized i had no actual way of plugging stuff into the tv so that sat in my room until by chance my friend bought me a vhs RCA camcorder that had the jack plugs for the tv for some reason, the tv is now my designated Atari 2600 tv and for once i use the black and white setting on my Atari since the tv is black and white. the clock is now by my bed and has been since i got it home, and i now live happily knowing the time and listening to the radio it since i hate when my room is silent.
