My knee is done for

So my left knee sounds like a bowl of rice crispies every time I stand up from kneeling or squating. I unfortunately fucked up my knee doing 12 years old elite all star cheer and competing across amarica (not to brag but I took nationals almost every time and even won first place at nationals before) anyway that I started that in my bone development years at the ripe age of 6 years old. It went till I turned a legal adult and had to retire from cheer. It was honestly one of the hardest things I had to do, cheer was my life. Anyway little did I know that my left knee would get screwed up from all the forceful impact on it. Even with proper technique it will wear your knee down overtime. I did cheer longer than the recommended amount of time too. So far I have no pain but I most likely will in the future. Right now, I guess I'll just have a musical leg lol

I'm convinced cheer is more brutal than people give it credit for. Some girl I knew from college almost broke her nose doing it. I'm sure you must have tons of nice memories from your time as a cheerleader, and that stuff is priceless

It's definitely not for the weak, especially all star. There would be injuries constantly and at comps there is so much security because men will go there and try to traffic the girls. People have fainted on stage and every comp they have to clean puke off the mat on stage. People have had seizures from lights at nationals and cheer practices ran for 2-3 hours of nonstop jumping around and smileing the whole time or there would be team conditioning. Dispite all thar, I still loved it with my entire soul.
