My opinion on Sonic Frontiers

Ian Flynn should’ve never ever touched the mainline games and the idw should not be canon. i’m sorry but i just don’t like how ian characterizes some characters like amy, by no means i don’t hate the way he writes things, i absolutely love the story in shadow generations but goddamn it, he didn’t have to change sonic generations too but that’s not the point. the point is that frontiers story kinda sucks because of him alongside the physics, the concept for the game has potential for some real cool stuff but fails to reach it’s potential because sonic can’t stop referencing things, tails lost his character development from the adventure games, amy is not amy anymore and i kinda hate the way knuckles is written, the only mildly good part of the story is the interaction between eggman and sage.

about the gameplay… yeah no it lacks a lot of potential, sonic can just walk up walls sonic 06 style, speed is instantaneous with the spindash, there’s no incentive to actually master his moveset in the open zones, it’s not really that hard to make the game glitch out and final horizon is just all that +3 but in exchange, has a better ending than the annoying shooting minigame from chaos island
