Im a university student in NYC who's an aspiring author and artist. I don't exactly know how to describe the genre of this story but it's main concept was inspired by various mythologies. The story is called 'Genetrix', if anybody would like a brief summary to know more, I'd be happy to make a more lengthy post about it.
